On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me……………… Six Geese a Laying

The geese in the 12 days of Christmas is a symbol of creation. According to the book of Genesis, God created the world in 6 days. Day 1 He created light, day 2 the atmosphere, day 3 dry ground and plants, day 4 the sun, moon and stars, day 5 birds and sea animals, day 6 land animals and humans and on day 7 He rested. Through the lyrics of the song, the true love, God, is gifting us his creation. We live on the Earth He created therefore we have a responsibility then to look after it. Being Eco conscious is taking the gift creation seriously both for today and for the future generations to come.
This nativity nesting doll is one our favourite Christmas decorations at home and we look forward to getting it out each year. There are 6 characters of the nativity story all in one lovely gift starting with the King. I also love that the very last doll is that of baby Jesus. This particular one is from John Lewis and they seem to stock it every year but there are many variations around and even ones they are hand painted for an extra thoughtful gift. Just like the the song, there are many layers that’s all point to the real meaning of it all, the birth of baby Jesus.
On the sixth day of Christmas my true love sent to me Six Geese a laying, Five Gold Rings, Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves and A Partridge in a Pear Tree.
