Today, 13th November, is World Kindness Day, a day that since 1998 has been marked globally as a coming together of different nations. Kindness is something universal, according to the dictionary:
The quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate.
It is interesting that it is defined as a personal attribute and really it is a choice to be be a person who encompasses these things. It’s not always easy to think of others before ourselves to be considerate of those around us. Kindness prefers others and doesn’t look to selfish gain.
Being eco I believe is synonymous with kindness. Being eco-friendly, generous with sharing natures resources and considerate to the planet. Some people might argue that eco means ‘less’ or even a bit ‘stingy’ but one of the reasons for starting this blog was to challenge this idea. Little Eco Gifts is a all about friendly ways to give to others and care for our shared living environment. We have a responsibility to be be kind to our planet so that we don’t consume the resources that are for future generations.
This is just a few thoughts but if you want to look for an eco inspired kindness gift then check out some of my previous posts.
